The financial fraud through paypal that scammers do is they request something simple like a pet portrait or etc. and then send you a fake payment picture that they said they "send to you". Then they will tell you to try to send a specific amount of money to them by clicking through a link since they said you should try and send it to them. but you are not suppose to do that since you are the one who is suppose to receive the money.
I've seen overseas artists and korean artist talk about it and have shown picture proof of the scam to alert others so I can understand the hesitation if you want to decline that payment method! I've been using paypal through crepe though since I've been commissioning artist there!
Thank you for your advice. There have often been commission requests from overseas since a long time ago, but I couldn't decide easily because of the burden of fees. I think I was afraid of financial fraud when I only recently tried to accept requests from overseas. I'll refer to the method you mentioned and make a safe deal!
